Everyone's saying "I knew something like this would happen"
I don't get it. It wouldn't even cross my mind to think that this would be a "when rather than an if" as someone said yesterday (Ian Blair, Chief Comissioner of the police, i think).
Call it naivety if you will, but events like this are as unpredictable as the motives behind them - i don't see how you can be prepared for it. I certainly wasn't thinking that there might be an attack any day now, if ever. My personal opinion is that to think like this, you're letting fear of the unknown influence you. And i'm not going to be ruled by fear or intimidation.
So I'm still going to London on Monday to see Bright Eyes. I've got friends and family in London (thankfully all safe and well) who are getting on with life and seeing the positive. I'm taking my cue from them.
